Do I need distilled water to operate my steamer?
Simple answer: No.
However, if you use distilled water you won’t need to descale the steamer. Our Cirrus No.2 has a coating on the inside that prevents residues of minerals and limestone to get stuck in the machinery. If you use your steamer in an area where the water is hard, it is a very good idea to use distilled water as much as possible. If you’re uncertain of the water quality, we recommend that you ask around- or use distilled water to be on the safe side.
