Introduction

The general terms & conditions apply when you as a consumer (the “Customer”) place an order via www.steamery.co.uk (the “Website”) or make a purchase on any Steamery internet connected products, whether in-person, over-the-phone, or online (collectively, the “Services”) in the United Kingdom.

These Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”) form a contract between the Customer and Stearn Electric Company Ltd. T/A Beam Group, the official distributor for Steamery products in the United Kingdom (referred to herein as 'Steamery', 'we', or 'us').

Orders

By making a purchase from and using the Website, the Customer agrees to the Terms of Use. The Customer shall make sure to have read and understood the Terms of Use when using our site. The Customer can at any time remove a product from the cart before placing an order. 

Confirmation

Once Steamery has received an order, an electronic confirmation will be sent to the Customer’s e-mail address, as confirmation of the purchase.

It is important that the Customer enters the correct e-mail address when placing an order.
We recommend saving this e-mail since the order confirmation (receipt) also serves as a proof of the purchase.

Payment, Prices & Fees

The prices are presented in either GBP, SEK, DKK, EUR, USD, or CHF.

The price of the products is the total price (excluding potential import and custom fees).

Steamery accepts most major credit- and debit cards (e.g. Visa, MasterCard). If the payment is not confirmed, the order will not get processed.

Taxes

All prices shown on the Website are including VAT, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Delivery

Standard delivery time is estimated to 2-3 business days. Our parcels are sent via DPD courier service. A charge of £6.99 for Standard Delivery applies to The Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight and Isle of Man. The Highlands and Islands postcodes are as follows: AB31, AB33-38, AB45, AB52-56, FK17-21, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to the Channel Islands.

In case the Customer feels the delivery is delayed in such a way that they no longer wish to fulfill the purchase, it is the Customer’s responsibility to cancel the order. In case the order has been dispatched, the Customer is required to receive the order. Cancellation is not valid until the Customer has received confirmation from Steamery either by e-mail or telephone.

If a product has been discontinued, Steamery has the right to cancel the purchase and refund the paid amount to the Customer. Steamery will notify the customer if a replacement or equivalent product is available.

Returns

The Customer has the right to return the product within 14 days from placing the order. This right applies only in the case that the product and its original packaging can be returned in the same condition as when received. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged until they are returned to us. Using the goods before returning them within the allotted 14 day period does not constitute taking reasonable care of them. If you use the goods before returning them to us you will be responsible for the costs of us reconditioning those goods. To arrange the return, please contact the team at [email protected].

Steamery does not offer free returns and the customer will need to pay the return costs. If an item is damaged during transport, Steamery should be contacted within 30 days for information about an exchange. Steamery does not take responsibility for returns that may get lost in the mail.

All approved refunds will get processed within 14 days of arrival to the warehouse. The bank transfer might take several days to be visible on the Customer’s account. Please contact Steamery if the refund does not appear within 20 days.

Warranty

Steamery voluntarily provides a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty (the “Warranty”) for each product sold via the Website, the concept store and popups. The Warranty is in addition to, and not instead of, rights provided by consumer law. Consumers have the right to choose whether to claim service under the Warranty or under their consumer law. For further information about consumer law, please contact the local consumer organization.

The Warranty Covers the Following
Steamery hereby warrants that the product, for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase from Steamery via the Website, is without defects, provided however that the product is only used in accordance with published guidelines from Steamery for the product, including the product’s user manuals, technical specifications, etc. and subject to the limitations set forth in this document.

The Warranty only applies to the product the Customer purchased for their own use and not for resale.

The Warranty Does Not Apply to
(a) products that were bought through other channels than the Website;
(b) issues that occur more than 1year after the date of original purchase from Steamery via the Website;
(c) cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and broken plastic;
(d) damage caused by any external cause, including but not limited to accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire;
(e) damage caused by operating or use of the Product other than in accordance with published guidelines from Steamery for the product, including the product’s user
manuals, technical specifications, etc.; or
(f) a product that has been modified.

If the Customer submits a valid claim under the Warranty, Steamery will, at its option:
(a) repair the product; or
(b) replace the product.

By using #yessteamery, you approve the following:

Steamery reserves the right to share your published content across our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok). Your content will only be shared if you have included #yessteamery in your post. Steamery will always credit your name when sharing your content.

You will still own your content. However, you agree that Steamery may use your content freely across our channels. You may at any time revoke your consent by removing the hashtag and notifying us at [email protected] requesting that the images be removed. Steamery also reserves the right to remove the content without notifying you.

Additionally, you agree that Steamery has the right to use, present, distribute, and combine your content according to our wishes without having to tie it directly to you. By using the hashtag, you consent to Steamery using your content without any obligations or requirements in connection with use.
